New Literacies.
New Literacies. The authors hit on a great point in regard to motivating andengaging students ("The New Literacies," October October:see month. ). This has tobe a goal of every educator and moving into the 21st Century withtechnology is a must. My three- and four-year-old children can bothaccess the Internet InternetPublicly accessible computer network connecting many smaller networks from around the world. It grew out of a U.S. Defense Department program called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), established in 1969 with connections between computers at the and log on to PBS PBSin full Public Broadcasting ServicePrivate, nonprofit U.S. corporation of public television stations. PBS provides its member stations, which are supported by public funds and private contributions rather than by commercials, with educational, cultural, to play educational games.
